Then came a nine-day layoff and the tougher-than-expected 89-86 win over Ole Miss. They scored the first nine points of the game and led by as many as 11 in the first half before finally coughing up the big cushion in the second half. Texas A&M then countered with a timeout to adjust its defense and Aaron Harrisons attempt from well beyond the arc hit the back of the rim as time expired.
